Edison is pleased to present solo exhibition, ‘Eon Eos’ by Belgian painter Lode Laperre. 

For his first solo exhibition at Edison Lisboa, Lode Laperre presents a selection of new abstract paintings derived from multiple references: blending themes of Oriental and Occidentalism, mapping prehistoric terrain with an acute interest in fossilization, harnessing topographical landscapes to detailed elements of erosion and fragmentation.

The layered, scraped, curved in and residue painting technique is not just aesthetically pleasing they also convey a geological survey of history and memory inviting us to contemplate the passage of time. 

Museum collections include MUDEL, Deinze, Belgium and Musée des Beaux-Arts, Tournai, Belgium. Private collections in the UK, Europe, China, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea and the USA.
